For various reasons, I am evacuating this account. As you may already have noticed, I am removing my Deviations (one at a time, unfortunately).

Do not worry, however; I am saving the files to my hard drive.

I will likely be removing my Journal entries as well.

I already have alternate replacement accounts prepared for switchover, however the question stands as to whether or not I will resume active membership on deviantART; I have lost interest in the site and it is unlikely that I will regain such. My activity has been willingly limited to the Message Network and the channels have lost my interest.

I think most of us know the pain of...eugh... DIALUP. That includes myself, sadly, and thus why I don't have anything NICE. Well.. much anything nice, and why I can't play WoW yet.

Well, I actually found something that'll seriously boost your download speeds- unless Apple.com just has fast downloads.

It's called Free Download Manager, and yes that is its proper official name- original, I know. (And in case anyone failed to pick up on it, that was blatant sarcasm right there- it's the most unimaginative name I've ever heard)

It SOUNDS bland and it sounds CHEAP, but they do have income. Simply put it's freeware for you and I but they make money off customs that companies and such can skin. You Google "Free Download Manager" and they're the FIRST you see, but I'll cut y'all a break and just hand off the link right here.

If you DON'T have it, GET it, and don't bother with the Lite version, get it in full for the full Torrent support and everything else, but the Firefox Extension doesn't currently support Firefox 3.

Unfortunately, it seems that certain downloads will choke off a 28.8KBPS connection almost entirely and even default Light Mode doesn't undo this. But hey, that's not a bad thing, ESPECIALLY with that PAUSE button up there. It doesn't stop the download, it SLOWS it. It takes it down to a few BPS. WHEEE!!!

My niece stayed over since... what... Sunday? Well, it's been fun having some time...well, not alone...with the Vampire Mistress Queen from...wherever the heck women come from.

Let's see... day-1, random crap!
Night-1 - she falls asleep and steals my freaking bed! Not exactly made for two people here. I got no sleep...LITERALLY!!! Every time I fell asleep she'd move! >
Day-2 - Zack hops over and spirits us away to my/our aunt's to play X-Box, watch Jumper (woot!) and babysit the evil munchkin from hell, Tanner!
Night-2 - Little miss fangs-'n'-claws [mentioned above and better known as Samantha the Great (HELP ME!!!)] falls asleep on the couch (and here I was gonna break out the large mattress this time... >) leaving me to fend for myself...but at least I got some sleep.
Day-3 - Zack comes again, we go do the same thing, 'cept this time we watch - brain forgive me - Superhero Movie.
Night-3 - Zack stays the night, crap happens, the moron loses his glasses to his own idiocy. Pinkie Locks falls asleep in my bed AGAIN (Oh well, at least I got my teddy-bear back), and Zack takes the floor.
Day-4 - ...I'm writing this blog, we're going swimming, and my monophobia gets to kick back in when she leaves later today. >

BTW, you can find a picture of Samantha in my gallery, "Above and Behind." Of course, now she has some pink hair in back. Zack's the one next to me in the weirdly colored pic.

It's better than I expected - My dad somehow turned to the Light Side and bought me a refurbished Sony VAIO (VGN-NR220E), and before anyone complains about it not being off-the-shelf or factory-made new, lemme tell you, it smells, looks, and FEELS brand new!

This baby's got 141GB HDD, 512 RAM (Not the best, but not bad, either. My Dell had 256 'till I got more.), Norton 360, Office Word (which I registered), and a freaking DVD burner that plays an awesome DVD-Video. Oh, it even has built-in WiFi. The Dell had a card.

I'll be upgrading it...eventually. But for now, I'm QUITE satisfied. It'll be much easier to use once this accursed Windows Update finishes - I can't stop/pause it, it's huge, and it's automatic. I don't even know what it is and it's annoying as frak.

Unfortunately, this doesn't mean I can come back to the chat just yet, I need Flash, Java, a fresh download of Firefox, and probably some various other plugins and add-ons before I'm ready to hit the road.

I am now a very happy person.
